My husband's GC priority date is EB2 Dec 2003, but I-140 is still pending. We applied for I-140 and I-485 in Nov 2007 after labor was stuck in backlog centers for 4 years.
We are done with finger prints few months ago. No updates on I-140 or I-485s after that.
Is it useful if we take Info pass appintment in this case and enquire about our case status?
Why not USCIS offer I-140 premium processing for older priority dates?
Can I-485 be pre-adjudicated even if I-140 is pending?.
Appreciate any information. Thanks.

Did anyone travel to India, by landing at Delhi Intl airport, and then proceeding to other destination city through a domestic airline?
Never been to Delhi, and I have no idea how Intl and domestic travel works in tandem...

Once while coming back from from Mumbai via Delhi, we did not have to change the flights, sat in the same flight to London.
And on other occasion where the connecting flight was Sahara to a Local Indian airport, we had to take our luggage and go to the Delhi domestic airport.
While in both cases, the Airline would arrange for the transport, Delhi has an inside route for passenger transfers(other vehicles are not allowed), while in bombay the bus goes thru the city, where the traffic is always severe.
In both the airports, if you are landing in the late morning (after 3-4am), you should follow up with the local airlines transport co-ordinator( bus driver ;)), to see what time is he gonna wake up and take you to the domestic airport.
Once when my inlaws were transferring from Bombay local to bombay international, they took a cab instead, as Jet airways did not have a bus ready to take the international passengers when they got out of the airport.

It's hard to explain, but the first two don't really do anything for me. The third one is certainly a step in the right direction (totally fugly JPEG artifacts ignored), and I think that with a bit of post processing you could really take it in some interesting directions. My eye only notices the deer after a little while; if you wanted to focus more on the deer, you could use a masked adjustment layer to subtly (the key word is subtly - very subtly) darken everything but the animal, and another adjustment layer to add a tiny bit of contrast only to the deer. Of course, QJ will come up with many other and more creative things to try, but that's off the top of my head a few ideas to start with. :)

thanks for the info .. i think i will schedule a medical appt for dec 10th.
Also my birth certificate(English version too) was send along with I-485 app. So I hope that does now show up.
My only concern is the time they will allow me to respond to the RFE. I hope it is the standard 6 weeks as stated in this faq http://immigrationroad.com/green-card/i-485_adjustment-status.php

when did you file your 485? I really woudnt balme you for calling multiple times..but if its been 60 days since the current processesing dates(check the processing date of the service center you filed your case at) then there is absolutely no harm calling them to check the status.
Finally, I am current now, I spoke to IO today again ( Again means I call them every month, every week atleast once & So far I got Nice IO's)
She said your case is in current processing time, has not been yet assigned to any officer. checked all the status NC/SC/FP, everything is clear, just waiting for an officer to be assigned. call back after 15-20 days If I dont get any response.
I wanted to know that what impact does one have for calling IO's multiple times.

Starting EB2 process will be the same as EB3 process. Your company should have a position open that requires atleast Masters degree or Bachelor + 5 years experience. They'll have to go through recruitment process and document that no US citizen or PR was available to fill the position and then file PERM.
Your EB3 applicaiton will not be affected by this new application.
The whole process upto I-140 may cost $10k-15k

Thanks for everybody's reply. I am still confused. Here is more info about my case.
I plan to transfer PD from EB3 to EB2.
My EB3 RIR was approved. The job description required BS and nothing else. I-140 hasn't been filed yet.
MY EB2 PERM was filed and pending. The job description required Master and nothing else.
I obtained the Master degree even before filing EB3.
Now, I plan to file the 1st I-140 based on my old LC. My attorney said it would be approved without any problem.
Then, I plan to file the 2nd I-140 based on new LC and request PD carryover. My attorney said that I would have problem at this time. Since both LCs belong to the same company and both have the same job title - Software Engineer. And, they have different job requirement.
Any more comments?

nothing to worry about, it happened to me too,
I opened an SR and two weeks later my wife got FP and I didn't, I thought I'll wait for a week or two but in vain. When I gave a follow-up call I came to know that FP was scheduled at my Attorney's place (I live in west coast and I was scheduled to attend FP at ASC in East coast) and the twist is my attorney never received it.on top of it when I asked the Rep about possibility of scheduling an FP at my place she advised me to file AR-11 form, at this point it was very clear to me that Rep doesn't have a clue on what she is talking about. the very next day I was luck to get hold of nice rep who said I quote
" I don't understand why these people schedule FP at attorney�s location"
he apologized and said he will open an SR to reschedule at my location and he assured me that this time it will be at my location, which I got in couple of weeks.
Hope you will get your FP notice soon.

Hello all,
Could someone who are recently travelled via London Heathrow, please let me know what all should be done in order to obtain the DATV visa?
My flight stops there for under 2 hours (for cleaning and refuelling), and I was told I need to get the DATV since my visa expired and my approved AP alone is not enough.
Though I have gone through the required websites, i would still appreciate info from any one who recently experienced getting the DATV and travelling via London. Do I need to send I-485 receipt notice original and EAD as well?
Or is it enought to send the online application, passport, photo and AP originals?
Is there anyway to do everything in person, including handing over documents?
Also, it would be great if you could let me know how long it took to get the visa and your documents back!
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

If Your Consulting Company is the negotiating then its good for you that you will be leaving on good terms. I would recommend you negotiate with them to File your 485 when PD available.
As far joining new Employer, you can only join them with H1B with 140 waiting status.
What does that mean? how can they file 485 when I'm not working for them? Also - What do you mean by with H1-B & 140 waiting?

I gave my 3rd FP for pending 485 last week. Haven't seen any LUD change since. My NC was cleared last year as per USCIS. My question is after every FP, does FBI initiate a new name check? is this a vicious circle ?
