While most of the folks are busy working on I485, EAD, AP stuff, does anyone has any information about the h1b filing that would begin in April 2008. Is there any policy program, the govt. is coming out with to let the chaos of April 2007 not happen again?

My I-140 is approved. And we are planning to change my wife's status from H4 to F1 student. Is it ok to do that ? I heard that it will be problematic for my wife to go back on Green path. Please advise.

My attorney is asking $500 for filing both EAD and AP as filing fee. So was wondering how difficult it is to file by my self. Does anyone has expereince filing for renewal.?

Hello,
Currently my 485 is pending over 1.5 years with I-140 approval (2007). I was laid-off. I have valid EAD card. Am I eligible to transfer to a TARP company for a similar position but in different state? Is there any specific policy or limitation for this work status? The company's HR couldn't make a decision. What should I do? Thank you very much for your kind and generous help.

Hi,
My labour and I40 are approved and PD is 12/07 for EB2.
My H1B 6th year expires on 10/10
I am thinking of changing companies. The job will be the same.
My questions are:
1) Can I use labour or approved I140 from old company to new company since the job will be the same or does the new company have to go through the entire labour and I140 process again.
2) Since I am already at the end of my fourth year of H1B, is there enough time for the new company to apply for labour and I140 since I believe the GC process should start by beginning of 5th year for H1B extension.
3) Can I use the old company PD for the new labour and I140 or will the PD be new as well.

We also need to raise our voice for the Out of Status stuff.
Most of the consultants have one or more pay stub missing etc. There needs to be a amendment that more than 6 months so called out of status can also adjust their status by paying some fine or something because

Online EAD status says Card production ordered. Not received card yet. Is there any memo/ lawyer opinion that says it is OK to work that as a basis for employment eligibility?

Very recently our company advertised for a position, this was for one of my co workers from China, company received over 200 resumes, I heard that the new rule is to reply to all the resumes and tell them why they dont qualify etc..

Hi,
Please advice me on below:-
1)I am on H1b visa and currently i am on bench. My 140 is approved and my H1b is expiring on sep30 ,2009. I got rfe for h1b extension asking for client letter.
Should i convert to h4 or do h1b transfer if i could be able to get someone to transfer it.
2) Also if I go to h4 visa will my green card processing with priority date remain same if i go back to same employer and ask them to file my h1b again after i get a project. Or they again have to start the process again even with same employer. Also what if i go with different employer.
3. If I apply for H4 visa now and in mean time i get a project before sep 30 2009, then what do I need to do. can i just ask my employer to again file h1b extension.
4) SO if I do h1b transfer or go on h4 what are the pros and cons.
Please let me know ASAP.
