what is new about what is being said in this article? We all know that bill is unlikely this year. Bush does not have a control over what happens in Congress. So anything he says is an expression of opinion. Besides, that opinion is the opinion of everyone who understands the circumstances. Please see below I-140 ref. I do understand that they need me to submit an experience letter including employment date and specific duties, but how to handle the second evidence? If the specific duties on my previous employer�s experience letter already includes those H14 specific skill and other requirements, is that enough? Or I will still need to find something else to support/proof them? Thanks!

My mother-in-law would like to get visitor visa.
How do I answer #37 of the DS-156?
The applicant's (my mother-in-law) son( my husband) is in the U.S. illegally. I am US cit. and my husband needs to report to visa interview within the next year. We have been post-poning due to medical issues. In the meanwhile we hope my mother-in-law can come here to visit her granddaughter.( I am unable to travel). #37 of the DS-156 asks if any body is in US. We should answer YES, because her son is here, BUT, what do we put for his status? Illegal? I read one article that stated to mark YES only if he has legal status. I do not want to put NO, immigration already knows he is here and we do not want to be dishonest.
Any ideas?
She has to be truthful. Otherwise it can create big problem later. Why you husband did not apply for the card when married to a citizen?

A6. Forms I-485 should be filed at either the Texas or Nebraska Service Centers. However, through August 17, 2007 only, employment-based adjustment applications filed at the California and Vermont Service Centers will not be rejected and will be relocated to the appropriate Service Center. Filing at the wrong location could result in processing delays.

I think you'll only lose 1-2 weeks as far as your RD is concered..

I am currently on the H1B 7th Year Extension with I-140 Approved stage from the existing company. My Priority date is Oct 2001 under India EB3. I will be moving to the fortune company starting from next month and they are ready to sponsor my green card with existing priority date. I got the copy of the 140 from my existing company and submitted the same to the new one.
Couple of days I read in the immigration articles that EB2 & EB3 dates for India may move little bit during the summer months starting from June. In that case, what are the options available for me for filing I-485 if my dates becomes current.
Can I request my old company to file for I-485 and move to new company on H1?? Or can I contact an attorney for filing my I-485 with my current documentation and work with new company on H1??
Any help and guidence on this is really appreciated. I want to exercise all the possible options when the dates are becoming current for me. If I want to file the green card from the new company, I need to wait for 6 - 9 months. However, they will use the old priority date for filing the Labor & 140.

By chance, I was browsing the USCIS homepage when I came across guidelines for the change of address form. It says that not changing your address within 10 days is a criminal misdemeanor. Does anyone know when this law was passed?

I read through the first guy's testimony and all it talks about are the yearly issuance of student visas from FY2001-07. Can you point me to the person who actually talks about EB green cards for STEM students in the US?
