Yeah I had my computer shut down for the weekend but it's back up and running right now. I lost out on over 100K+ :(.
I might build another computer as I have a i7 920 laying around and maybe I can run another bigadv client. I'm also looking to purchase a home soon so I may be in a out a bit while I get re-situated into my new place. I also can't be spending too much on computer goodies :D

Sure. If that's what it takes, let's uncheck the box by default and let Apple provide the info to the publishers.
Apple does allow opt-in, just not opt-out. So the problem lies with the FT.

Anyone else going to the Promenade?
I have a reserve and I plan on arriving at 5am. I was only able to get 1 reserve so I am hopeful to get a 2nd walk up upgrade for my wife.

And I'll just admit I'm not upset cause this doesn't affect me, I don't do early upgrades. Talk to me when they increase the price of the regular upgrade fee.
And honestly, there is such thing called inflation which sadly is happening a lot here. They're costs are going up so it's going to reflect in their prices. Right now they're apparently trying to mitigate it with costs to people who are doing what most people consider a luxury upgrade (being able to break contract early with no penalty and an incentive by having a slighty cheaper phone).
I notice they're not affecting those who are no longer under contract (probably cause they still want to encourage that where as they have less incentive to encourage people to re-sign after a year since they still have them in a contract for a year).
It's called running a business, realizing your prices are going up so you need to reflect that on to the customers (They're not a charity), and deciding where best to do price increases that won't chase off their customers.
And for those pissed off and leaving for Verizon, from what I understand Verizon doesn't even allow early upgrades. So I fail to see if you are upset about early upgrade pricing going up, how Verizon will fix that. Cause with them your "early upgrade" will be the full price of the phone.

Price when I sell my current iPhone 4 just went up 50 bucks.
Exactly. Whenever I've upgraded my iPhone early, I always recoup nearly 100% of the upgrade cost by selling the old iPhone on Craigslist. This change doesn't mean much to me.
And not sure why everyone hates AT&T. I live in Boston...I always have 4+ bars of service. I pay my bill online every month with zero problems. Not sure what the big deal is...

Welp... Got Notes 7.02 today.
Visually, it looks "fatter". The fonts are more substantial. Almost bold in look. It also looks more "modern" if you will.. or more "mac-like".
The installer actually uses the default OS X installer. That's nice.
The whole BS "Lotus Notes" directory with all it's turds is replaced by a nice Notes.app applicaiton bundle. That's nice.
They added Safari as an option for URL handlers. That's nice.
It upgraded 6.5.x just fine, though I had moved my data directory to my home directory a while back, not sure (yet) how the upgrade will go if one's data directory still exists in the app's hierarchy.
It IS a Universal Binary! WooHoo!! That's REALLY nice!
It's still a carbon app. That's NOT nice. You'll notice the old MacOS watch icon. A sure sign of a carbonized app.
It still uses BinHex 4.0 as the default Mac attachment encoder. That's NOT nice.
I don't know how it handles emails with embeded java or HTML (I'm sure other users have experienced Notes crashes when reading some emails with HTML in them). Wait and see on that one.
It seems to be a bit faster, despite being a carbon app still. Wait and see on that one.
Well good to hear there are some improvements. Will have to see about downloading this today.

I don't think that I'm physically able to give blood.
I had to get 2 of those small vials they use for blood tests, and I couldn't even walk and passed out. That is not a lot of blood.
I don't weigh very much (107 lbs 5'8"). Is this normal or something about which I should be concerned?
I'd say that is rather light indeed. If this is the only problem you experience with it, though, I'd say you needn't be too concerned. Just try to put on a few pounds in the long run, no biggy. And until then, your own physical health comes first.
BIG thumbs up to MacRumors for doing this, and to all who donate. I've donated a few times, always got me feel sick for about an hour or so afterwards, sometimes more than others. Since it didn't seem to be decreasing after a few donations, I decided to not donate for a while. Actions like these get me to reconsider. Which is a good thing IMO.
Edit: And as to the gay men being unable to: that sucks. I'm not wanting to get into the discussion, but I think I see where it comes from and I think it's kinda ********.

You are obviously missing the point. Apple's new subscription model is preventing choice from coming to it's customers. How is that not a bad thing?
How many people here want to choose to get tons of junk mail delivered to their house?
Raise your hand if you'd take that option.
Serious quesion. If most posters here raise their hands then I'll shut up and say you were right.

Do we all like price fixing ?
Apple products are too often kept at RRP - not sure if its always by agreements with apple - "don't discount more than 10% or lose authorised reseller status"
Obviously good for apple products, but not for the consumer.
My understanding of price fixing, is when two competing manufacturers sell the same type of product and agree to only sell at a certain price, usually to keep the product at an unnaturally higher price then necessary. An example of this would be if Apple, contacted Samsung, and discussed making their tablet computer for sale at a certain price, to keep the price igher so that both companies would make more profit.
However, this is not the case with the Ipad. Most electronic products are given a manufacturers retail price, and you as the retail store, do not have the right to sell at a larger than agreed upon discount. The way some companies get around this is by packaging products and accessories together. This is done by every major manufacturer, from Apple, Sony, Samsung, Sharp, Nintendo, Microsoft, etc... Go check the Tv's in Best Buy, and then check Fry's, and then some other retailers, they will all be the same price essentially. Look at the PSP's or PS3 or the Wii. All are price controlled by the manufacturer. there is nothing illegal about this. By using the term price fixing, your intimating that they are illegally controlling the price, but this is not the case.

Oh silly gays when will you learn. ;)but yeah if a white person called me a n word i'd be mad so the same applies here. I'd be pissed if someone called me a bundle of stocks. :D
Sorry, but black people using the n word is no better than any other ethnicity doing it. And spare me the BS that it's part of the black culture. Any thuggish behavior and language and its glorification is deplorable, no matter the context, who or what it is directed against, and what criminal/amoral/inhumane behavior is exhibited or glorified. Ice T is as much of an jackass using the n word as your local clansman.

This is nice to know. I use Lotus Notes at my work on Windows. It's decent enough, but I hope that with this new version the online experience with accessing my work email remotely with my mac improves. As it is right now, it's basically unusable.

I found one. It looks like it just blocks the banners and flashwave ads, which is fine. If anyone has a better one, speak up! Here's the file, go to suprnova.org to test it out. You install it by downloading it and selecting it as the style sheet from the safari advanced preferences.

Lets say his girlfriends parents say it's ok for them to sleep in the same room. Also, lets say that you also know that your son is having sex. Lets also say that your son has been going out with this girl for 3 months. So would you let him or not?
First response: Hell ya I would! (Pat on his back) :D
Second response: Sounds like someone doesn't know how to be a parent. You obviously don't feel comfortable with him going, so don't let him!
Your the parent! What you say goes, whether he is 18 or not.

That said, it is unpleasant by its very nature. If you don't think that, I'd suggest watching some documentaries on prison life.
I do watch prison shows, and it's pretty much what i expect it should be. What i see here is people advocating for prisoners to have more freedoms, which i disagree with. The way prisons are now in the US is exactly how they should be. It IS supposed to be a punishment.

Just buy him some condoms and tell him to keep it down.
It's hardly gonna stay down, is it. ;)
Oh, and by 18, the kid really should be old enough and responsible enough to be able to sleep over at his girlfriend's place. As other have said, they'll have sex irrespective of whether they are allowed to sleep at each other's houses. :)
