Only apple cases - all colors are here. No 3rd party cases yet

iPads have arrived and are still in master cases will start to break down after 3:00
Can just buy and leave do not have to open box unless you want personal setup, separate area for that
They will be handing out tickets at 4:30 on version that we want (color size AT&T or vz or wifi) pick one if the 18 available

He's very into simplicity and minimalism, just look at the way apple products are designed. I think its a conscious choice to wear a simple black turtleneck and jeans, even though he could easily afford any clothes he wanted.

Yeah I wish this case was out when I got my iPod. The back of mine has a few scratches on it. I've had this case for a few days now and I love it. The cut is perfect.

Apple has a history of that... making their OS'es run faster than the previous one on the same hardware. At least that's what my experience has been with Panther, Tiger and Leopard preview.
When I bought my Powerbook G4 3 years ago, it came with Panther, then I upgraded to Tiger and it seemed to run much faster... much more responsive. After its hard drive died, I sold it and repaced it with a MacBook Pro with Tiger pre-installed and now that I am running on Leopard, it's running just as fast and sometimes even faster than Tiger. I am very pleased.*:)
Of what minimal programming experience I have, I was concerned by this code I found in one of the system startup scripts:
setmaxcomputerspeed(.22113*MacOSXVersion);
just being silly... :D

It doesn't at the moment. The biggest capacities are 64GB. The standard allows for cards up to 2TB, when they eventually arrive (maybe in 5-10 years).

Well, I'd like to get my hands on a DS, but cash is a bit tight. I'm hoping someone would be interested a trade for (or buy outright) a nice, older, PC.
- P3-1ghz,
- 256mb RAM,
- 10gb HDD (I can most likely dig up another 10-20gb HDD to add),
- CD-ROM (I have a CD-RW drive of unknown speed/quality I can include as well),
- NVidia TNT2 GPU,
- network card, modem, keyboard, mouse.
- I have a 19" CRT that I haven't used in awhile for someone local (in the Lansing, MI area).
- Has Win98, Office 97, and some other software if you want it (Visual -Basic, some older PC games), with licenses of course.
- Could also install pretty much any Linux variant for ya, if you wanted. I have Ubuntu on there right now.
- I would be happy to include a joystick (uses the old fashioned "game port") and/or a USB gamepad.
Figured it was worth a shot. :) Anyone who would be interested in CDs, VHS tapes, comic books (decent collection, including the full Superman Doomsday series), or some Star Wars "memorabilia" (toys still in packaging from the mid-90's re-release of the first 3 movies) in trade should PM for a list of those things as well!

Apple hasn't dipped its toe in the ruggedized computer business, has it? That's bound to be one aspect of army interest.
But perhaps computing devices that survive going to school with students should already be considered ruggedized.
The Army is already using iPod Touches in the field. Put one in an Otterbox case and it's ruggedized.

Really, if you don't know how to "jailbrake" at all then I recommend getting someone you to know to help you out maybe? Actually performing the jailbreak is the simple bit.
Using and managing Cydia, along with any tweaks, is the part that most non-jailbreakers get confused with.
I've jailbroken several people's iPhones, iPods, and iPads and even now I still get them asking about things.

Exactly, for those folks who think Kodak was just a film company you're totally off base. They had the diversity but not the vision to adjust to the transition and ended up wholesale auctioning their future. Kinda what we're doing as a country right now.
Kodak believed that their "customers" were the drug stores that did the film developing -- and those drug stores hated the idea of digital photography. So instead of focusing on the their real customers (i.e.: those who used their camera and film) they played to the whims of the drug stores and the entire digital revolution passed them by.
Funny though, one of the best cameras we ever had for producing decent photos was the one that used their magnetic film and showed you what the picture you just took looked like on a little LCD screen. If you did not like the picture you could mark it for "do not develop" and then take another. You saved money on developing bad photos this way and you were still using film (albeit a new kind of film). I can still remember the commercial for that camera with the young couple visiting in Italy trying to get different locals to take photos of them in a specific spot so they could make it look just like an old photo they had of one of their parents in the same spot from decades earlier. Each photo that turned out wrong was marked to not be developed and then they would try again until they got the perfect shot. Funny how they did not see that digital photography accomplished the same thing but in a better way. They really missed the boat.

I think Woz was trying to please the audience a little with that response as he was aware they are tech savy and knew he couldnt get away with praising it as a revolutionizing device. So i think his response was a good one.

Just downloaded the update and got Outlook to sync calendars with me iPhone :D I really have missed the ability to do that these past few weeks so I'm happy again.
I'd really like 'Travel Time' adding back into Outlook appointments as I can't see why it was removed. I found that I used that quite a bit in Entourage '08.

I don't think apple would go 128gb now.. There launching cloud soon, which is the future.
How is "cloud" the future if bandwidth is still limited and not available everywhere? Cloud = server, This rebranding needs to stop.
