    How do we identify EB3 or EB2 category in approved I-140 ?

    In Section , it was written as "Sec. 203 (b) (3) (A) (i) or (ii) ".

    Not able to figure it out.

    It's too late. BEC already cleared 80% of the cases by now. Only 40000 cases left in BEC as per Oh.

    I am right now on L1A visa recently filed for extension and still in processing.

    I am planning to get married to my girlfriend here and apply for greencard.

    Would appreciate information on how to proceed with that and wheather the L1 extension would affect it in anyway.

    Just found this extension a few seconds ago for those (including me) who haven't mastered gradients or partially alpha'd parts of an image, and who are too cheap to buy Photoshop and instead use Paint.net

    One can contiue to stay using I-485 receipt without valid I-94. afasik I-797 can be used only if you filed H1 extention after you came back on parolee.

    If a person travels on AP, he will get a new PAROLE I-94 which shows expiry date of 1 year from the day he entered on AP. Can the person stay in US AFTER that expiry date and continue working using a valid I-797?

    If you search the forums, you will find this has been the latest trend , I think for most folks who live and work in CA. Not sure about maintaining the receipt date, I had the same question, but I think the answer is not well known.

    Sure doesn't sound right. I'd suggest some controlled tests, using a gray card (or even a white card). Check the actual color with your favorite editor (Photoshop, etc). It might be your monitor calibration, too.

    At this point you don't really know if white balance WAS correct and, after the update, it's wrong - or vice versa.

    I do not see a problem in filing 2 Green Card applications.The one that comes first gives you a green card which most probably will be employment based.But you may consult an attorney as I am not one.
    I am on H1 visa and I have a sister with citizenship.
    I am wondering if I can file i-130 (family based immigration) now and file Employment based immigration later?
    Is it OK to file 2 green cards applications? which one will take place then?

    Hello,
    I e-filed my AP on March 4th ( this was my 2nd AP application; the first one was paper file in July 2007)
    When i check the case status online it gives me a message "your case can not be found".
    Any idea what it might be?
    I tried several time calling the 1-800 service number but I am not getting to talk to a real person.

    Just came across GAO's( General Accountability Office) recommendations to make changes in H-1B program. Eventhough they talk mainly about Staffing Companies and increased employer accountability, there seems to be a mention regarding the H1B extensions beyond 6 years with simultaneous application to green card. Eventhough not stating in exact words, it seems to hint to the congress to seriously relook at H-1B extensions beyond 6years and also regarding cap exempt Visas and supposedly how easy it is to get them. Looks like with the economy being how it is, Congress might use this report to jump in and bring some unfavourable changes. Any thoughts on this...?

    Can we go to USCIS office after 90 days of filing I-485 to get EAD? Also, does the 90 day counter starts once we file or when we get the receipt from USCIS. Please advice!

    I cant because my husband got his H1 B approved this year and he is going to accept and change status in OCT 2007.
