If you do decide to swap out the logicboard from a newer/faster iMac, keep in mind there are two 500mhz boards out there...the DV SE which has the older 8mb Rage chip and the later models which have the 16mb chip. I'd look for a 600 or 700mhz board to be safe.

Well you can join whenever. Starting later might be a good idea actually. I encourage the current testers to occasionally start over to find bugs but it seems like they're getting fed up with the start! Yea. thats cool that, give us a shout when your free :)

Thought the video was pretty terrific even if I hadn't known it was shot on an iPhone. I've seen people with camera gear costing 10 or more times as much that couldn't touch the work you did.

Correct. It has a BASIC interpreter that is available without any other startup operations like the other computers of the day. Though there are a couple of different Disk Operating Systems you can use, if you want to go that route. But they're not necessary.
Does the computer need a mouse? In my reading, it seems like it doesn't.

It only had two cards inside: the 5.25 floppy card and what I think was the RAM. Does it need anything else to operate (i.e. a video card)?
No. The RCA jack on the back is composite video; it'll plug into any video-in source on a monitor.

Why would that be the case? If you want to sell your computer and you installed lion yourself, why would a computer with lion installed by Apple be worth any more assuming both systems have the same hardware?

That would involve using your restore disk, then installing Lion. Apple retail stores do not take returns on online ordered items.
They have to be sent back at your cost unless if it's defective or damaged during shipment.
It takes about 2-3 weeks after they receive the items for the credit to show up in your account.

The name is good! I like the idea of adding Umlauts. It will highlight the difference between 'Published� & 'Pablshed�. But you need to work more on logo. It can be improved. All the best!
