BTW, I got labor approved on 3/1/2010, 140 on 3/25 and 485 approved on 5/5.
A slightly off topic - but how did you know that your 485 was approved ?
Can you tell us in detail how you got this information about your case ? I want to know if mine is approved or not.

Sounds like you found the "sensor", really a filter or glass over the sensor. When you remove the lens, you see the mirror. Put the camera in bulb mode and lock the shutter open, and that's the "sensor". Ensure that you have plenty of battery power (or are hooked up to the AC/DC adapter) before you stick anything into the sensor cavity. If the shutter closes while you have something in the cavity, the shutter will break, and you will need an expensive repair.
I have to clean my cameras often, since I shoot outdoors and change lenses many times a day. I have found that compressed air takes care of most problems, and a $10 bulb, like Mark mentioned, is the best way to go for field work. If you are willing to put a little more $$ into it, get an oil-less diaphragm compressor for an airbrush, ~$100. The other nice thing about air is that you don't put anything in the shutter cavity.
DO NOT use "canned air", these little cans with compressed air in them. They contain isobutane and other hydrocarbon propellants which can "spit" out of the can and leave spots on the sensor that will require a liquid cleaning to remove.
Liquid cleaning is more complicated. The Eclipse solution is (I have heard, I don't use it...) clean methanol. A lot of people use these with 'pec' pads with success. I use clean, high grade isopropanol, electronics swabs, and follow up with distilled DI water and the air compressor. This is a delicate process that I don't recommend experimenting with. My lawyer also confirmed that a person on H1 can use AP for travel and can continue to work for the same employer with H1 and has to extend the H1 to come back to H1 status and to continue to work on H1.
I had asked Ron Gotcher on his forum the same question.....below is what he had to say obout it.......
You should be ok......just keep renewing your documents.

Don't worry about an advance parole I-94 expiring. There is no penalty if you overstay beyond the period authorized on an advance parole I-94. I don't know why they put an end date on those. There is no way to extend them other than leaving the US and re-entering. More to the point, there can't do anything if your overstay.

I did some research and it seems for AC21 the job description matters and it should be same or similar. The job title may be different.
I think we should be fine but it is safe to take the opinion of at least two good immigration attorneys before proceeding.

Should address on Drivers license and Address that we provide for USCIS should it match ?
I am a consultant hence i have given a friends address who own a home so that i dont need to change it often. Now i live in a different state (ofcourse temporarily) and since its USCIS i gave this address for any correspondence to USCIS. Now in future if i apply for any new forms many people have mentioned sending Drivers License but if i sent it it has a different address on it. is copy of drivers license mandatory? how does it work ?

Let your new employer starts your GC, get PERM+I-140 cleared from your new employer untill then don't join them. Once I-140 is cleared, port your current PD to this new I-140 and join the new employer.
GC is for future job, anyone in H4 can do it and even if you are not in this country, a company can sponsor you.

Lots of people have done H1-F1-H1 in the past and they are not counted against the quota. You can search for various attorney's (including Rajiv of immigration.com and Murthy of murthy.com) answers for ur specific question either in their websites or thru google. I did some research on this specific thing in the past and also had confirmed with immigraion HR in my company. So I am pretty much sure that you are not counted against the cap. You would need to apply before the visa (F1/opt period) expires so that you dont get to stay in US without any valid visa. so no hurry and dont worry about adv degree cap.

I applied and called a lot of places but no luck because of my visa situation. Please let me know if anyone here knows of any hospitals offering observerships for IMGs.

I-140 FD: 15 JUNE 06

I-140 AD (If any): Still waiting!!!

So my PD is 9/24/02. Yeah, i also read 180 days after filling I485 b4 i can leave my current company under AC21.
I guess the best option for me is to
** wait till my get my I140 approves,
** get my H1B extended for another 3 years (instead of 1 stupid year),
** Wait for at least 180 days
then move to another company (if i still get another job offer by then) Correct?? So by then, the new company should be able to transfer my H1B and finish up my GC process? But..but can my old company do anything to jeapodize my GC filling? eg: revoke my LC or I140???
More suggestions and opinions??? :o

I used my H1B since that had a further date of expiry than my EAD but when my next renewal comes up I guess I will have to show EAD as my H1B will be in process of being renewed then.......
Might have to keep alternating if you have a choice......its kind of an irritant for sure........DMV has no issues with our status when they want us to renew our registrations :mad:
If I am paying my taxes as a resident then I should get the same benefits... :rolleyes:

Hi Friends, I searched through some of the prior posts and did not find the answer. I am not looking for cities to live in from the point of view of job, taxes, weather, desi population, desi amenties such as movies, restaurants etc...
Please, don't take this wrong way. I assume you moved to the US to seek the positives this land has to offer your children, whilst holding on to certain cultures / values from your hometown. Hence, I don't understand why you would relocate to the other side of the planet and seek the best place for "Indian" children to live?! I would reckon, it is probably your hometown, in India.
Very few get to have the cake and eat it too.
I have lived in 4 states, in the 8 years I have lived in this country. I have NEVER faced racism or discrimination of any sort. No place is perfect. However, this country does stand head and shoulders above a lot of places. Try and fit in.

But the problem is that you have to send in a copy of your H1B visa for I485.
The visa will mention the fact that it was issued in May 2007
USCIS might ask you 'Place of last entry: 2000" and how come you have a visa with a issue date of May 2007.
That means that you were at a US port of entry recently.
I think putting your canadian date is the best option.(My opinion)
You can always tell USCIS that you were issued a visa in Canada and technically you left the US and came back again in May 2007
