For me and many other potential MBA purchasers, a CPU bump from the media processing abilities of the Core i processors would be welcome, and GPU performance over and above the ability to play real-time HD video is useless. We shouldn't be saddled with an out-of-date processor or forced to subsidize "unnecessary" frame rate performance just to appease game-players. And that perspective is as valid as yours.
+1, besides, the 13" MBP + 128GB SSD provide far better value-for-money than any present 13" MBA.
The cheaper solution, the 11", tells another story but even then anything past the base model comes so close to the price of a 13" MBP+SSD that it's impractical to get a 11" from a performance point of view, especially when it's equipped with the slow 1.4 C2D. The 1.4 i5 will provide far better performance (certainly far more than 40% of speed boost). We will still be able to watch FullHD movies despite the less capable IGP. Games. The best indicator will be whether or not there's an April iOS event. If there isn't, that means previous years' schedules don't necessarily hold anymore. If WWDC is filled with iOS 5 and Lion news, it's possible iPhone 5 won't make an appearance.
However, it's also possible that the new features of iOS 5 are so tied in with iPhone 5 that they don't want to reveal one without the other. For instance, NFC capabilities.

I mean, if you want to differentiate your higher end products from the lower end ones, you ADD features to the higher end one. You DON'T remove features that were once standard for years on the lower end machine.
I've seen this in Yamaha keyboards - once upon a time all keyboards had MIDI IN/OUT/THROU, later (ca 2004 onwards) Yamaha removed this pretty basic feature from their low and mid-end keyboards so that they could not be used as controllers. The customers had to end up buying pretty expensive equipment in order to use MIDI connections.

Disagree about the LP album being even close to good, but I stated that before:rolleyes:
CD's? That's still just about all I purchase, beside my vinyl collection:D I want a physical copy for everything, and I like to have the artwork, AND get it signed by the artist when I see them live. I also get the ticket and place it behind the CD holder in the case. With my Genelec 1030A's I can tell if it's an MP3 or not:p Now where did the sweet spot between my speakers go again:rolleyes:

I needed a portable computer to supplement my desktop, for when I travel (which is infrequent). This is why I opted for a netbook, I needed the ability to connect to my companies network and access programs/computers/servers (something an iPad cannot do) and also hold my photos when I do travel.
The used mini fit that bill, its a hackintosh, so I still get to use OSX, its cheap, small and functional.
Nice, can't be the size and weight for travel.
Did you sell your 15" MBP, I recall you can the AG screen, then glossy but didn't like it so much.

They will. Microsoft doing this will definitely cause Apple to be less stingy with the R&D and get some great small products to market.

Not really, because you can refuse delivery of a package for a full refund off Amazon. Digital content like Apps are generally non-refundable.
Unless apple created a way where the app won't work under that account. To use it you'll have to buy it again.

The important thing is, there is no security risk. Nobody can use this to install a virus or adware on your computer. They can use it to crash your computer - once if you are clever, twice if you are not quite so clever, but not more often. They can't do anything but crash the computer.Mac OS X is so stable that I am perfectly comfortable working for an hour in between saving my open files. If I was likely to run into websites that purposely exploited a flaw to crash my Mac, I'd have to change my habits and live more defensively.

For example, suppose it was a site pretending to take a political poll, but if you voted against their favored choice, they punished you with a system crash. How are these? I'm looking for a wheel for F1 2010 and GT5 (when they both come out).
I was about to purchase the G25 but these may do as well.

Hey. I got the wheel for the same games. I'm loving mine at the moment. It's the first proper steering wheel I have had and I can't fault it at all. I paid �80 for each of them and for me personally, its well worth the money.
It does have paddles on the reverse of the wheel. I've read many reviews about them being too small to use comfortably, but I've put a good 2 hours or so use on it so far and I have no problems what so ever. Its improved my lap times already and has made me (from what I can tell) a smoother driver.
I did look at the fanatec wheels, but ultimately decided to get the GT5 one as it was in a price range I could comfortably (due to student loans) afford.

I'm pretty sure it's just an illusion because of the color difference and the angle of the shot. Makes no sense why Apple would need to or want to do that.
Bleeding light, maybe? Perhaps the plastic needed to be a bit thicker to prevent this. Alternatively, maybe they're providing a "free," built-in sort of bumper to mitigate the antenna problems. :)

Another huge update... Apple should test their updates better.
In Apple's defence, we should probably point out that iOS is under hacker attack much more than the Android and Windows 7 systems.
When somebody tells you how to root your Galaxy S, Google just generally doesn't give a damn. When somebody reveals an exploit for iOS that equates to a potential security problem, Apple starts moving immediately to decide whether or not it is an important security problem and if it is, they'll patch it as quickly as reasonable.
I have tried and tried to look at and like Android devices...take it from me, your iPhone is still the best. Don't worry about it and just take the updates for what they are worth.
