Nope. You can add up to 10 per page (at least on my iPhone, I wonder if it's more on my iPad). Regardless, it just starts squishing them all together. This is where having Shrink really starts to help.

Totally
Can't even browse the web with it. Or listen to music. Or use 1000's of apps. Or look at videos / pictures/ books.
But you can play dodgy emulated games that crash within two minutes, run more than one process at a time causing out of memory error messages. Play divx movies that work at less than 10fps. Overheat your battery by making a wifi hotspot.
:eek:
Ahem!
I've run several programs on my iPad at the same time without any hiccups.
AND those emulators you speak of work fine.
Oh and I have no battery issues.
Enjoy your walled garden! :cool:

I've never been to an Apple launch day before and have no idea of when I should get there. I'd like to wait in line but still have to work tomorrow morning. When is a good time to start waiting?

This 'll probably vary by the local culture by country, but I live in a country where sim locking has been illegal until recently,(so we're not used to cheap smartphones with expensize contracts) while in the US traditionally most phones were/are simlocking offered "subsidized" by a carrier.
If you' re used to a cheap subsidized phone(with expensize carrier contract), you're less likely to pay 700 for an iPhone 32GB(though since I choose my own carrier it's cheaper in the long run.
I do think Apple should ofer sim-lock free iPhones worldwide, but if you can get cheap subsidized Blackberries,Androids,Nokias,... it's not the smartest move commercially.

awesome, you guys are great help. But don't I have to pay for OS 9.0? I don't want to buy an out-of-date OS just to delete it when I upgrade to OS X...
but I'll look around Apple.com
Thanks

Hi there,
I just attached a 3rd display (all Dells; one connected via DVI, the other two via DP->miniDP), and now my MP won't start up. None of the displays show anything (they stay black) and the MP doesn't make the chime after I push the button, as it should.
Am I doing something wrong?

Whenever I paste or delete the following excerpt within xcode, it gets unbelievably slow (probably 30 second time from "cmd v" to actually showing the text)
//add all times to that value
for (multimap<PathID, double>::iterator i = pathTimes.first; i != pathTimes.second; i++) {
if (temp == 0) {
firstPathID = (*i).first;
firstPathIDtime = (*i).second;
}
if (temp == 1) {
secondPathID = (*i).first;
secondPathIDtime = (*i).second;
}
temp++;
}
Is there something within that causing the problem?

He should discuss detailed and undisclosed information about Leopard on his website and to the media while he is at it.
No, that would be breaking an NDA. The details of Fair Play are not under NDA. Not many of us signed an agreement with Apple so we are free to look inside a music file and tell the world what we see inside but no so with Leopard if there is an agrement not to.
BTW the developer's pre-release of Leopard contains no secrets. Anyone can get a copy and use it if they pay a fee to become a developer.

Going from 2mb Ram to 4mb Ram is only $100. VERY much worth it in my opinion. The CPU upgrade is more debatable. And I'd go for 256gb on the SDD (128gb is a bit limited for today's standards if you plan on storing music and video).

My concern is if you have big fingers, or a poor grip strength, holding the thing will inadvertently set off the buttons if they are on the bezel

I think Linux might have a higher install base than Mac....
I always laugh at these charts... it's like comparing the install base of Bentley to the install base of Toyota. Doesn't exactly tell the story, does it?

Wow, thats going to save developers some late nights waiting for midnight!
Agreed that developers need to be treated with more predictability/consistency. But Apple has long been moving in the right direction, however slowly.

I have two photos that the mall employees took of the Easter Bunny and my son. They used the built-in flash and there is a fence shadow on my son's face. It's just on his face, but UGH!
I have Pixelmator 1.6.5, but never use it for lack of knowledge. I take 99.9% of my family's photos and use external flashes when necessary to avoid the problem I have now.
With that said, I can't find any simple tutorials anywhere. Does anyone have a link to share?

thanks for the hints!
shipping might take a bit, because I live in Germany.
I went for Stealth Guards (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=997633)
hopefully it arrives before the new Touch does ;)

Three things to try
Right click and run as administrator.
Compatibility mode, try xp sp3
Cpu affinity to 0 - may not be necessary
Mine was locking up on the updating image step but one of the first two fixed it.

Can you tell I am bored right now? Heh. I ordered my Mac Mini on Tues/Wed and hope to have it early next week. Fed Ex says its been sitting in Hong Kong since yesterday! I can't wait. Super sexy unibody with 4GB Ram. Oh Yeeeeeah!! I went over to the "Post Pics of your Mac" thread.. but in the 25 pages I looked at I only saw ONE Mac Mini. Maybe you guys could share some love?

I still find it a little disturbing but I think it's also possibly the single funniest thing I've ever seen involving Microsoft.

Hello... First Post... Its a little long winded but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have a dedicated Power Mac G4 2001/2002 (733mhz 1.5GB Ram single processor) linked up to a specialist large format scanner. The G4 operates solely on OS9.2 as the large format scanners software can only work on OS9.2, but this G4 is starting to struggle, possible capacitor issues. I do not have the scanning software discs so am unable to install them onto another computer, and without this software and OS9.2 I would be unable to use my scanner, massive knightmare that I really want to avoid. Ideally I need to try and clone this G4 onto another G4. I have recently obtained a second Power Mac G4 (733mhz 1.5Gb single processor) but it is operating on OSX and does not have OS9 installed on it.
Q: Is it possible to clone my current Power Mac G4 (the OS9.2 operating system & its specialist scanning software) and make an exact clone onto the Power Mac G4 that currently has OSX installed on it?
I have never cloned a computer before, if the above is possible, then I would so greatly appreciate any step by step instructional advice on the above.
Kind Regards,
tea & cake
:apple:
It would be much easier just to open both PowerMacs, and take the Hard Disk Drive (with OS 9.2 and all your files on it), and install it into the new PowerMac. - All it takes is a screwdriver, and its really easy in those machines :)
