Appleinsider called this correctly then, I wonder if this will be the top selling iPod model this Christmas.
Sweet! Hopefully I can buy a few for gifts...

Die Mobile Me - DIE DIE DIE. Anything will be better than the self centered sounding @me.com. I simply will not use the email address in a professional context. Don't mind @Mac.com, and still use it, but @me.com sends the wrong message.
While I don't feel as strongly as you I have to agree. The original mac.com had a significant feel to it.
Me.com sounds frivolous.

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1.
Seems odd to assume that you have seen no problems there are no problems to be seen.
My battery life is good, I don't have dropped calls (mind you I never did on any phone), and most things are fine, but I get the problem in the Photos app where the camera roll gets stuck under the album bar, and you can't select it. OK, you can get round it by quiting and restarting, but if I was happy having a work round I would be using android :D

On my system all m4v and m4b (audiobooks) show up in the finder as protected but they are not. Regardless of the default app I set to open them....

You are obviously missing the point. Apple's new subscription model is preventing choice from coming to it's customers. How is that not a bad thing?
What are you talking about? It's enabling choice. Customers have a choice to send their personal data to FT. Before, they did not. What choice is Apple taking away from customers?
Apple says: "give choice to customers."
FT says: "no choice for customers."
And you have the nerve to call people Apple fanboys. That term should nullify your point right then and there.

The real measurement of how well the CDMA phone will do is when apple releases the iPhone 5. That way people can measure the performance when both carriers are starting off at the same time.
If the iPhone 5 Rumors are true, the iPhone 5 will still have CDMA access for the Verizon version and all of its crippled features: slow network, no data/voice multitasking, limited conference call abilities.

Again, us Americans with our fake subsidy. Other countries are getting iPhones for free with contract. Lame.
Oh, and if people think T-Mobile is better, they increase the subsidized price of their G2 and myTouch 4G to $249 from $199 not too long ago.

Hi, I am using pic-in-pic full screen dissolves in an iMovie project. The problem is that when I attempt to detach and scrap audio in the 'superimposed' clip (ie. the 'top' one), it appears to do so, but then the audio comes through when I play the project back. There must be a very simple reason for this. Surely...

Hi just read this on LaCie's website...
LaCie Unveils First Bus-Powered FireWire Speakers Design By Neil Poulton
LaCie firewire speakers (http://www.lacie.com/company/news/news.htm?id=10308)
They have also announced other new products. Anyone seen these speakers at MWSF? What do they sound like? I'm looking for a pair for my new MPB C2D. ;)

Are you calling jailbreaking a "kid" activity?
No... not at all. But I think it's a choice and it's silly to complain about it when you know updates may or will break the JB. Patches and updates are needed and common. So why complain every time a patch comes out and make silly acquisitions that Apple is just messing with the JB community.

i agree 100%. "dynamically redraw the page"? based on WHAT?
This is my first post. It takes a lot for me to stop being a lurker, but the idea that any user can resize a textarea on a site I design, dynamically redrawing the page, is among the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. This will break valid page layouts in new and unheard of ways. Designers make form elements a size and shape for a reason.
I look forward to finding a way using JavaScript to disable that feature the day that browser is released.

I know right? Christians are totally equivalent in women's clothing to Muslims. I mean, asking for the skirts to be to their knees, for them to not see midriff, or parts of the breast is totally equivalent to making the wear burkhas. And then there is the audacity to ask for them to not be exposed to butt crack on the beach, simply appalling their curtailing of freedom!
Congratulations on so thoroughly missing the point.

It all comes down to the Malcolm X vs MLK school of thoughr. You can either use violent confrontation as opposed to serious aggressive non violent confrontation.
As with anything in history, there's a right balance and a need for both violence and diplomacy together in order for one group to obtain favorable circumstances...or simply dominate another group. The truth is that humans don't "live in peace". Our whole existance is actually due to the fact that we kill eachother. Otherwise, we would just be like any other lower animal.

I have a few months left of .mac and have began switching everything over to other services. The .mac mail is just unreliable and slow for the price. The new web page looks nice but I am sure it will be as slow as the other services.
I now use GMail for Mail and use Picasa for photo hosting. It has great iPhoto intergartion and the premium service is like 20 bucks a year.

You need to ask yourselves a questions: How these stores operating? and Why products end up there?
Apparently, some authorized retailers overstock iPads or could not move projected volume, so they dumped some unsold inventory to Marshalls and TJMax, just to get some cash back, quick.
Overstocked with iPads??? Not a good news for Steve.
What is the issue here? iPads are sold in Walmart and Target and nobody complains.
I think the biggest issue with it comes from the actual Apple authorized retailers. For instance, in my line of work (golf course management), I purchase golf equipment directly from the manufacturers (Callaway Golf, Nike, Titleist, etc). To be able to do that, I HAVE to agree to a minimum advertised pricing (MAP) policy, or I can't buy directly from them nor be listed as a retailer of that company's products (any retailer buying from directly from the manufacturer has to abide by this). If I then saw a major retailer (a competitor) advertising products that I sell for significantly lower than I am allowed to (knowing that all official retailers are supposed to be bound by this agreement to even sell the products as an "authorized retailer"), then I'm going to be pretty upset as to why I have to abide by it to get my goods, when either they (the competitor discounting said merchandise) aren't, or either they are getting a cheaper price (allowing them to sell for a lower price than me, yet still keep similar profit margins). And if they are in violation of this MAP policy, I'm going to damn sure be wondering why the manufacturer (in the iPad case...Apple), isn't going after them (telling them to stop, if they are an authorized retailer), or pulling their account. In the golf business, the manufacturers go hard after companies that violate this MAP policy.
