Hello folks. Here is the overiview.
485 EB3 world, applied Augut 8, 2007. ND is Oct 8, 2007.
I just checked today and saw LUDS on my cases. NO lUD on 485 at all. (not approved) No LUD on AP or EAD. (these are approved)
These are all approved as well.

I140 LUD 7/13/2008
I290BLUD 7/13/2008 (I had to file because my H1 extension was denied. It was approved after the appeal. However, the status for this still shows received and we will let you know when we make a decision. this was 2 years ago. I have since then able to extend my h1 again.
No LUDs on EAD OR AP cases. NO LUDS of any kind for my wifes cases as well.
What does all this means. The messages are still the old ones, nothing new. Just LUDS on these cases. Does that mean that my 485 is going to be denied or that they might be looking at my case in the near future. does this mean that they may be looking for more information. Has anyone of you had LUDS on any of your old cases but not on your 485 case. I have ready somewhere that some got LUDS on older cases.
How is USCIS wokring on Sunday. 7/13 was yesterday and it was Sunday.

It happens if they need to see the original of a document (i.e. birth certificate). Nothing to worry about.

Make sure you do not travel out of USA before you get your approved AP, since as per the law if the person who filled I485 leaves the country without AP then it is considered that he abandoned his I485, with the exception given to H1B/H4 and L1/L2 (and youdont have any of these)
If you leave USA without AP then you need to restart the process, if you have AP then that is all you need to travel.

I don't see any issues for your wife to convert to F1 now and then apply for I-485 when your PD gets current. However once she applies for I-485 then it will be risky to apply for extension of F1 or stamping F1 as F1 does not allow for dual intent and she would have shown her intent to immigrate. So after applying for I-485, it will be advisable to switch to EAD / AP for work and travel.

My wife wants to convert from H4 to F1 for coming Spring 2011 so that she can take assistantship..
Is it advisable to change status to F1 with priority date so close..? does it cause any problems for her I485 application since F1 status is Non-immigrant category..
Please advise..

I believe a majority of those problems are for H1-B's that are consultants and move around on different projects. In your case it appears like you have a stable and consistent role given that you have been with the same employer for so long. Hope this helps.

Today my lawyer sent me my receipt numbers for 485, EAD and AP. when I enter my AP receipt number to check online status I see the following...
Application Type: OS155A, IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On August 30, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Anyone know what this means... It doesn't say I-131 in application type..

Current Status: Fingerprint fee rejected and notice mailed; case in suspense.
On August 23, 2007, we rejected your fingerprint fee and mailed you instructions for how to submit the necessary payment. This case is now in suspense. Please submit your payment with our notice as soon as possible after you receive our notice so we may resume processing of this case.
My lawyer says the checks have been cashed and we have proof of this.. She says it can be a typo..
Most weird part is for my EAD it says card has been ordered.. but I haven't even done finger prints and my 485 is in suspense..

the second charge of "false statement" to the officer is? That will look negatively on the character of the applicant.
In general traffic citations are minor misdemeanours. Not sure about fishing. But the second charge IMO is a bit serious.

my husband concurently file I-140 and I-485 (along with EAD and AP) on 22nd June 2007. We got our I-140 approved on 30th August. I have two questions
1. When can i expect my EAD ?
2. Is there any rule that i shud start working within some stipulated time after getting my EAD or i can take my own time ?
1. it should take another week or 10 days...
2. you could start when you want....
