In the event handler for the UI element you click, simply do a cast such as "sender as UIElement". That will give you a reference to the element you are trying to find.

As other posters have said, your wife should file her H-4 extension ASAP, requesting a backdated (nunc pro tunc) approval. I have done a number of similar cases and had them approved, but this is no guarantee that your wife's would be approved. She does need to explain the delay in filing, and be prepared to leave the US if there is no decision on her extension by about mid-July.

I am planning to file my 7th year extension and would appreciate some one who can provide some guidance. I have a pending I-485 (July 2007 filer).
My six year visa expires in Sep 07, 2009
a) How much in advance we can submit HIB petition. I read some where H1B can be applied six month in advance.
b) If we apply six month in advance, can those dates be from Sep 08, 2009 or the date of submission.
c) Can we include the dates for some one is physically not present in US
d) What supporting documents are needed to prove that some one was not present in US?

You are right - The status changed today saying some one has picked it up - So express mail is good for sending.
Does the checks getting cashed mean the applicaton is accepted - and for whatever reason if they deny willu get the fees back?????
I had sent my EAD application on last week Thursday through express mail and I recvd the same status first time. On Monday, the status changed to delivery confirmed when someone picked the notice I think. My checks are cashed today so you may have to wait for a day and it should be fine.

Thats not true.. A few days back I read on IV forum itself that around 10K were wasted this year too.
Was it reported from AILA or ombudsman or someone making prediction? A few days ago, USCIS issued a report saying that they approved 60k GCs due to the July fiasco. That should cover all available visa numbers for FY 2007.

* AILA has reported that during the period of July, August, and September 2007, Nebraska Service Center and Texas Service Center adjudicated 60,000 plus EB-485 applications. Since EB visa number was unavailable for the entire EB cases in August, presumedly a substantial portion of these cases could include those cases for which the EB visa numbers were pull out before July 2, 2007 in June and adjudicated throughout the period as reported by some I-485 applicants who reported that their I-485 applications were approved when the visa number was unavailable. Interesting.

Well I dont understand you guys... Why the hell u start cursing... If i was a Devil or what so ever taking a illegal route... I wouldnot have posted this question here but would have gone the route and started the process
Btw before cursing.. at least think twice...
and wat about all those desi who work with consultancy who stay on bench etc etc ... where does Oct 2nd/ gone for them..,..? I am sure people who cursed me were one of them !
Infact ateast I am open and willing to ask people before taking any unethical step or wrong step...!

my RFE response reached VSC on Oct 31st and online status says
Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.
Anyone with idea on how long approx it will take to get approval. Have to travel by end of Nov and USCIS delay is resulting in really expensive air fare.
Let's keep all of us updated on these RFE on AP.

1. AC21 - get it all done with new company ? Job title from Sr.Qa to SAP BI would it be a problem?
If any RFE comes, new company should be able to support as per job description/title in Labor which they won't I believe.
2. Temporary resignation and rejoining - is it really feasible?
I don't think you need to resign something in particular.
You can work with SAP company and when your date is becoming current move to QA Company and you should be good. Its like filing AC-21 to SAP company and again filing AC-21 to QA Company.
I know lot of people do this who are working on EAD. Generally you know your date will be current in next year. So you can work for SAP untill June/july-2011 and then move back to QA Company before date becomes current.
3. Stay with current company - try for contract positions even if it means that I have to stay long on bench. I have been already out since Aug.
Your choice and lets wait for some Guru's answers.

joining back to EB2 company is the only option I see. But if EB2 company doesn't exist , this is a unique situation. Talk with the lawyer immidiately.

Thanks for your responses. The hospital staff told us it would take 60-90 days to get the SSN. I am stuck until that arrives because only then can I apply for the passport. Any way to get around it?
Call SS office they may give SS on phone or just go and ask them they will give you the number based on which you can apply for passport.
If you apply PIO in person and pick it up in person It will take around week.

1. Shall I wait for I-140 PP to re-instate or go ahead with normal processing?
2. Is there 'ANY' chance that my PD will be current before I get I-140 approval when filed through normal processing?
