i read somewhere on the forums that fbi name check and fingerprinting checks are two different checks carried out separately.

be aware. All these PDF editing tools leave a watermark - "Draft" or "Trial Version".

They are totally useless.

Earlier trial Adobe 7.0 Professional did give edit and save. Not 8.0

Bottonline: don't waste time or by 8.0 for USD 1800 or so. Or use one who has PDF editors (Admins etc)

Today, I spoke to a USCI Agent and his supervisor at NSC about my case..
I quizzed them about July 2007 revised visa bulletin etc.

He looked around, checked it for like 10 minutes and said HE DOESN'T HAVE
ANY MEMO. All he said that he has this MEMO which states that July 2007 (original) bulletin ..based on that EB1-3 for all countries are current.

:-) May be NSC approves application :-) as practically NO ONE can stop them..

Again this is based on my call to actual live human being at NSC..

I doubt this very much to be true...in case it is.. USCIS has a big problem in their hands.. they really need to clean up the house.. before the shi** hits the roof..

So the USCIS article asks you to select Nebraska or Texas based on where you live.
Another place I read that it is based on location of permanent employment.

For me my employer is based at NJ and I work for a client in CA.
They have sent my 485 to Texas. Does this look Ok.

Hi All,

I have my labor filed and approved for EB3 March 2005 PD. My I140 too has been approved in June 2007. I filed for 485 on July 2nd. I would like to know whether I can now start a fresh EB2 and also apply for I140 and use the older Eb3 priority date of March 2005. I have not changed my company I need guidance for experts in this regard.

Just for information, my I140 was approved after I had applied for 485

Actually being a Defence employee is a positive. You can show proof of stronger connection to home country because of following.

1) Pension that is available every month for life.

2) Free treatment at Army Hospitals.

3) Subsidised cost at Military Canteen facilities for provisions etc.

Thanks, yes our last names were different.
I told the postman.
Its been more than 2 weeks and I didnt get any response from USCIS after updating the address.It still shows initial review.

Does anyone know how long it would take for the USCIS to resend the card?

Hi,

I think you should write your spouse name on the mailbox alongwith yours especially if she still maintained her maiden name which would be different from your last name.

Also do talk to your postmaster and update the situation.

If I have to apply for a new PERM Lc and then I-140 in EB2..how long would the entire process take

PERM-How many months??.
I-140- How mnay months??..(10th year of h1b can I get Premium Processing) done

In my case wife works in the same company which is sponsoring our GC and EAD apps .our EAD expired on Aug 13th (am on H1 still, wife on EAD). But Our laywer told us its ok to continue to work and employer didt ask us any thing so far. Still waiting for EAD. Expidite req was approved about 10 days ago, still waiting for the decision.

Per my lawyer, there is no written rule really that stops us working after EAD expiry,and it also depends on how employer looks at these rules and all this mess..

I'm not sure about about the queston you asked here, but I was wondering you are EB-3(India) 2004, why is USCIS even reviewing your file ?

485 MTR acceptance letter is dated Dec 11, RFE is dated Jan 13, and FP notice date is aboout same(did my first ever FP last Friday). Could the MTR or FP have caused the review of my file? :confused:
