In my case i contact my senator and my congressman every month asking to please help with comprehensive immigration reform, to help us to create legislation on name check so we do not have to wait years, and well all of them are republicans but all of them are immigrants so they know our pain.

Has anyone applied FAFSA or Stafford loan with Parolee status ? , I am planning to apply for my online degree. I have H1B ,but using AP to reenter.
I had applied for my wife when on parolee status.I guess you would have to been paroled for atleast a year before you can apply.

i predict the november 2008 visa bulletin will come out on monday, october 13,2008. however, even if all categories will become current, it is still useless as the processing dates of the different service centers have processing times of july 2007. hence, almost everybody will not be able to have their papers processed.
and when the processing dates move forward, the pd will retrogress. they will find ways to scr** this way or that.

I see no reason why you cant move to permanent offer.

I am confused as to what should be my next steps:
Can I still join them?
What is the less risky option?
Keep working with current company? (I haven't informed them of pending offer)

Pending AOS or 485 is a type of legal status. It also allows you to apply for additional work and travel privileges as long as the underlying 485 remains pending. If you choose not to avail yourself of those benefits that that is up to you. You would end up in trouble only if you violate that by then working or travelling (absent the USCIS permission through EAD or AP). As long as you just sit there and especially if you are a derivative beneficiary, there is no problem.
That said, many people choose to get EAD/AP in hand in case an employment opportunity or an emergency need for travel comes up. Remember an EAD/AP application may take up to 3mths to get approved.

I can't wait. Sitting at my workplace now, I will be heading to DC right after work, not even stopping home. I just wanted to confirm that it is ok to travel on AP via Dubai from Emirates without H1B stamp. Has anyone done this recently and can you share your experience? Thanks.

In Dubai when you come back you have to show your AP and supporting docs if they ask you to. I came back this July 18th.

I do think that painter has many features that photoshop doesn't, but out of the two, Photoshop is probebly a lot more useful. If you want to draw though, and you want to gain a real sense of texture which is the same as the none virtual medium, then Painter is the only way to go. That is to say.. if you want your cartoon to look like it's drawn in crayon.. Photoshop just wont cut it.

For any new comprehensive immigration reform, we must push for the Ability to be able to file for EAD after labor rather than having to wait for I-140 approval.
Do anybody know if any of the proposed bills have this provision? We must get together to push for this in the final bill as this doesn't harm anybody.

I do not think any of the proposed bills push for I-485 filing after the Labor Cert itself. This has not been proposed because I-140 approval is not an issue right now. It is being approved as fast as one month these days. But I see no harm in asking for it. Let us reach for the moon and see what we get :)

otherwise, the site looks good.
it is going to be a little hard to get used to this new look. afterall, the old site had a background color which was very unique. That stood it apart from other sites.

I dont mean to offend you but ability to file I-485 when the numbers have retrogressed is all it take to alleviate a majority of our problems, that is in the agenda and SKIL bill currently in house and approved by senate in CIR.
So if SKIL bill gets passed we should be fine, but when is a big question ???

If ur case is pending more than 30days from the processing time shown on there website ur lawyer or employer can open a service request(SR).they will send u the decision usually within30days from the date of SR.
Quizzer rd is dec2006 EB2. But there site shows they r processing feb2007 case so after 30 days his lawyer opened a SR and got response that what he meant.
