Your H1-B does not matter. What matters is LC for your I-140. It sounds like you want to use AC21 portability. EAD allows to work for any employer(s), but you have to make sure your I-140/I-485 is intact.

As long as your DOL job code is same or similar between your approved labor and new job you will be ok.

This is my first post. I had filed 485/140 in Aug. 2007. 140 got approved this March 2008. I donot have pay stub for last 3 months. I am looking for change. My labor is a substituted one( PD 2004). It has skills mentioned of Oracle EBS. I am working on Java/J2EE. I am looking for a new Job with Java/J2EE skills. I am worried that my new offer letter with Java skills mentioned would create a problem for me.
Please Gurus, can you advice me as to whether I can do that? Will staying on bench create a problem, as I donot get salary on bench.

Once she goes from H4 to AOS(using EAD), it doesnt matter .she can work partime, FT or not work at all.

May be it is positive for skilled legal immigration. Since CIR is not coming anytime soon, congress can look at improving exiting legal immigration and Administrative changes can happen!!

What I am looking for is how do they physically transfer the application? I am afraid of dealing with another incompetent organization such as USPS. Also, what type of processing delays should I expect?
How recent were the guidelines that I-485 be sent to the same center as I-140? Were these guidelines applicable on July 2nd.
I do not know about the guidelines but these FAQs were released a few days ago(definitely after July 2nd).

Nobody can tell you for sure their method of transferring applications. I dont think you have any other option but to wait.

Two other issues could be:
1. You will not be able to travel on student visa. If you enter US on student visa, it is considered as abandonment of I-485 application.
2. You need recent salary statements for EAD renewal every year.

you can get your pp renewed within 10 days in India as long as you have things like voters ID card, Indian DL etc.

^Don't lie to him. Spyrl your going to need to remove your current DX9 card or DX10 card and put in a DX7 when your testing.
for real though, all DX10 cards are backwards compatible with DX9L. SDL is pretty much compatible with everything your heart will ever want.

The following are not counted against H1b caps as far as i know, the list may not be complete:
existing visa-transfer jobs
employees of not for profit entities
University employees
J-1 doctors starting an underserved area job
So then only these four categories count as "Non Cap H1Bs"?
Can anyone shed more light on any other categories that qualify as non cap?

You have a Oct 04 priority date. Your date was current for quite some time. What took them so long? Did you switch from Eb3 to Eb2?
Congrads. I have the same question. why so long? are there still people with 04 PD out there waiting? Why is it that we are seeing "card recieved" posts very rarely these days? Have they slowed issuing GC to those with PD current?

USCIS is making contradictory statements. First they release an update that they have processed all applications mailed before July 1 but when I call customer service and tell them that my application was mailed on June 11 and that I am still waiting for the checks to be cashed they say wait for 90 days.

People will be filing their I-485, not their EAD. EAD is something one gets after the 1-485 application has been pending for 6 months :)

Can anyone tell me which are the states that have in-state tuition fees for the H4 visa holder? It maynot be an exhaustive list but atleast need to start somewhere... Pennsylvania does not allow it... and this is the reason it is becoming increasingly difficult for my wife to keep on studying on my salary.

Just tried, got connected after trying for 4/5 times. Automated response system sucks, its in different languages, but after pressing 1 (for English) still could not get the further menu.
Finally when the call got through the voice quality totally sucked. It is like how it used to be in 1990s with delay and static. Won't use again.

That is true. This thing called "special handling" in common parlance is, thank god, not a hot topic of discussion. I hope this clause doesn't get weeded out given the current scenario where they have killed F4. I really wonder if "highly skilled" legal immigrants would ultimately get any benefit out of this bill. Limboland is where many people are - and at the end of the day you still get to live in Limboland and become its citizens by default.
