It is a great achievement. Congrats to the core team and all the volunteers who contributed. There is a Tamil proverb meaning, "little rain droplets make a huge river". Each of our small contribution would definitely give us financial strength to put forth our case with the US congress & Government.

For the past one week I posted more then 50 fliers in many of the apartment communities in my neighborhood and also sent lot of emails to friends and groups & forums in my company.
I did receive few disappointing comments on our effort but ignored and continuing my effort.

EAD is not required for invoking AC-21. If your lawyer says so, then go for second opinion.
His lawyer was right. If he has H1 he can do H1 transfer to another employer and invoke AC21 to continue AOS.

i am having a hard time getting my provider submit the claims to the insurance company.
If your primary physician "advises" you to go through the "same" tests then insurance companies will have to pay.

Sounds like someone at SSN office who may not know much about immigration.
If your I 797 came with attached I94, then you certainly can apply for SSN card. Just ask for supervisor at the SS office and talk to them.
If your I 797 does not have attached I 94 (meaning that you are still in H4 status), then I do not know for sure what the procedure would be to apply for SS card.

Now , am in the second category..Have an H1 but my i94 is on H4 stamping ..I hold an Indian passport , do you know if i should get the H1 stamping (first time stamping) in India or can i conveniently get it done in Canada?
If your H1 approval notice did not come with the I-94 printed on it, then Canada is definitely an option to get it stamped, however its always better to get the first time stamping done in your home country.
You could also get your status changed while in US, but that would take additional fees and time. Speak to your H1-b sponsor about it.
btw, I would still check the approval notice to make sure that notice does not have an I-94 printed on the bottom of it. The I-94 printed at the bottom of the notice will have the same I-94 number as the one you have stapled to your passport, but will now have your status as H1 instead of H4.

This person mailed on June 28 and app received on June 29 and got his notice date on July 24. Today.
I could have been with him today but for my attorney who got extremely busy and did not file my 485 with 140 and got stuck with July fiasco

Finally, I am current now, I spoke to IO today again ( Again means I call them every month, every week atleast once & So far I got Nice IO's)
She said your case is in current processing time, has not been yet assigned to any officer. checked all the status NC/SC/FP, everything is clear, just waiting for an officer to be assigned. call back after 15-20 days If I dont get any response.
I wanted to know that what impact does one have for calling IO's multiple times.

I got 1st LUD on 05/31/2009 with message change.

I entered US in 2001 on H1B and have not left the country since then. Unfortunately within few months of coming to US, I had a fight with my wife and was charged of domestic violence. This charge was later reduced and I was convicted of a simple battery.
Now if I travel overseas and come back on AP (I intend to use my approved AP instead of going for H1B stamping), can I be denied entry to US at port of entry because of my criminal charge?
Anyone in the same situation or know someone in this situation? Was there any issue in there re entry into US?

We can either take the approach that IV is for all legal immigrants, criminals or otherwise. Or we can say that we have to draw the line somewhere. This is a decision we have to take as a community. While I don't decide for this community, my opinion is that those who have been convicted for DUI, wife beating, etc should not benefit from this site.

We didnot file MTR. As per my lawyer, MTR takes around 2-3 months and if in case MTR gets denied then the total time (from the date of denial) will considered as illegal and it will create more problems. I also went along with my wife to chennai embassy(both H1 and H4 renwal ), they just asked me my paystubs and about my company . they didnot ask my wife any questions.

Hello all, im new to the boards and a photography hobbiest as well as doing photography for my H.S. Yearbook class as head photographer. I currently use a sony cybershot 7.2 MP camera as it is good as a pocket camera and enough settings to change for quality pictures. (Which our yearbook has had the best compared to the other schools since i have been there lol) Anyways, I am now getting more and more into photography and wanted to persue it as a side hobby but i want a diffrent camera for higher end pictures.
Im looking for an DSLR with at least 6mp preferably by canon i think for the lenses and accessories.
I also want something that is upgradable and longlasting for even proffesional photography. Anything no more then about 1200 would work so i can save up for it in a few months since im still a teen. I will post my favorit picture i have taken so far and have edited to see what you guys think.(may be a little blurry do to small file for dial up speed) Thank you for any advise. Cdw06
