Received the RFE today. It was asking for my birth certificate copy & translation. My lawyer says this is very common. For me this is stupid, they already got my birth certificate copy and the translation.
Just make sure you covered all the bases and reply to them. It might not hurt to include another copy of your birth certificate and translation just for the heck of it along with your explanation who knows may be the earlier one got misplaced or messed up

I asked an other question which is more related to this and somebody deleted. Please answer these as it is really hard.
Here is my question,
1. After 180 days I would like to change job.
2. My I140 approved in feb 2006.
3. Company needs to file I140 amendment because my company was acquired by a giant company and they will do end of Apr 2008.
4. Can I quit before Apr 2008 will it have any issues in my Green card process.

If you look closely its for the I-484 stage. I have also been told that the first stage has to be apporved. So the first I-140 has to be approved (earlier priority date). The word 'subsequent' is throwing the confusion around.
I think this is not fair since lot of people have their earlier petition being approved after their second petitions (due to perm and premium I-140).
example i guess clears the statement.

my lawyer mentioned that I-140 PPS will come back after Texas and Nebraska have finish receipting the flood of I485 applications.
In a AILA meeting USCIS raised concerns about their ability to process the cases in 15 days and their concern is that they don't know how many applications they'll receive for I-140 PPS.
my lawyer mentioned its free money for these guys and they will bring it back. USICS still hasn't withdrawn PPS for I-129 or I-539 applications. They use the same freaking resources except now that they are using those resources to receipt for the new I-485 applications.

Rally in DC in the morning and Fasting till 5PM in front of the capitol.
Good idea. Now, how do we show that we are starving? Wont it be considered advantageous (healthwise) for many of us to starve? These days starving is not considered a self punishment but rather a therapy. I would suggest 'one day over eating-junk food' right in the front of the capitol would be better. In the US, I have noticed that most workers probably get a cofee in the morning, a pack of potatoe fries+coke for lunch and then eat heavily after 5PM. Thats very close to what you are proposing. Holding packards like "we skipped coke and lays today. now you better solve our problem".

....and I understand that. I would be pissed off too if my priority date was earlier and my status was still pending. I actually believe that this is a fight for all of us and that is one of the reasons, I have contributed before and will continue to contribute to IV. This does not change the fact that I am in a messy situation. I posted to get some advise not to antagonize people.

Are you just trying to get people to click somewhere so that it generates ads revenue for you. The links you provided only open up windows that shows ads. I think you are a thug because don't have correct profile here, at the same time you are using some other webiste to track your GC to generate revenue for someone else, and now you are trying to lure people to visit that site. dont worry about it all.Because i did same thing exactly like you..And i got h1b ext twice after that and got h1b stamped twice and travelled out of the country 3 times after that..nobody questions about it all..
They only see whether you are out of status more than 180 days..it is legal also to work for 2 employers with 2 petetions..so dont worry about it at all...

Can you tell me what your lawyer sent to the USCIS. How did he link the approved 140 to the pending 485. Did he fill any form? I am in the same boat. My both 140's are with the same company though.

No. You will need new visa stamp.
I was told if you have valid stamping you do not need get new stamping even if you changed the employer. All you need is to give the new approval notice at the POE.

My wifes H1b also expired and she is dependent on I 485. She has valid EAD. wht is the present status of her. Is she able to apply for H1b or not.
